Fiona O'Neill

Fiona O’Neill registered with PSNI in 1994.

Fiona gained a wide experience of community pharmacy through working in pharmacies all over NI as well as taking the role of manager. Following a sabbatical year in Australia, where she had the opportunity to work in hospitals in Sydney, she moved into the NI hospital sector in 2001.

In previous roles she has been clinical pharmacist for the regional Neonatal and Maternity services, Medicines Governance Pharmacist and Teacher Practitioner Pharmacist.

Currently, she has the privilege of working in Belfast City Hospital as Lead Palliative Care Pharmacist where she is an Independent Prescriber.

Fiona is an assessor for NICPLD Foundation Programme and a standard setter for the Common Registration Assessment. She is a member of the International Arts in Pharmacy Special Interest Group which seeks to integrate creative thinking into pharmacy.

She holds a Diploma in Community Pharmacy, MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care.

Fiona is a Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists (GHP) workplace representative and represents GHPNI on the Pharmacy Forum Board.
