Continuing our campaign aimed at supporting current NI pharmacy workforce needs, Phase 2 of Pharmacy Futures NI has officially launched 31 March with a paid digital campaign across Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram targeting pharmacy team applicants in GB & RoI. NI employers have been asked to post current vacancies on popular job sites, which will be signposted from: www.pharmacyfuturesni.com
Building the NI pharmacy workforce for the future
This time round, we are also looking beyond our immediate workforce needs.
To prepare for the 1,100+ additional roles in the NI pharmacy sector required over the next five years, during this phase 2 we are engaging with NI post-primary schools and encouraging students to make pharmacy their career of choice.
The highlight of our outreach activity is a dynamic virtual careers event on Wednesday 19 May but which will also be made available as an ongoing resource. Lasting 40 minutes, our virtual showcase event will give pupils an exciting insight into life as a pharmacist in Northern Ireland – from studying pharmacy at university, to the first few years as a pharmacist and opportunities to progress in hospital, community and GP surgery pharmacy sectors. Keep an eye out on the campaign website for more information.
