With ‘Time to Talk Day’ taking place Thursday 3 February, Pharmacy Forum NI would like to encourage our NI pharmacists to make the most of the occasion by raising awareness of the 24/7 health and wellbeing support service that is available to ALL members of the pharmacy team. The service will run until 31 March 2022.

The resource packs, which all NI pharmacies should have received in 2021, can be used to help you talk through the service with your staff. The packs include information on how to access the service and guidance on how to promote it among your team.

Support & beneficiaries

Support includes:

  • a 24/7 helpline
  • structured counselling
  • financial and legal guidance and more

All members of the pharmacy team can use the service – pharmacy technicians, dispensers, healthcare assistants, delivery drivers or staff who are providing any other type of pharmacy support role.

PASS

Pharmacists and Pre-Registration Students are reminded also that all of the above support, along with a range of other services, is currently available to you and your family (spouse/civil partner, children and dependants) through the Pharmacists’ Advice and Support Service (PASS) on an ongoing basis.

Mental health in pharmacy

Time to Talk Day is one of the most important dates on the mental health calendar. Mental health was discussed during the Forum’s November 2021 inclusion & diversity (EDI) webinar on Dealing with disability in pharmacy (incl. mental & physical health): Are we doing enough?
