The health and wellbeing of pharmacists remains top priority, especially as we enter the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pharmacy professionals are reminded of and encouraged to avail of the free, impartial and confidential ‘PASS’ services during this challenging period. PASS – the Pharmacist Advice and Support Service (PASS) – is the charitable arm of Pharmacy Forum NI, which exists to help pharmacists, ex-pharmacists, their dependants and pre-registration trainees in times of need.
Online support launched – Inspire Support Hub
A new online support service – Inspire Support Hub – has just been launched by our partner, Inspire, and aims to widen the support options available as part of Pharmacy Forum NI’s existing Employee Assistance Programme.
The hub provides instant access to a range of information and tools tailored specifically to help care for individual wellbeing needs, including:
- Guided self-assessment via chatbot
- Self-help courses
- An interactive map identifying different activities linked to the 5 ways of wellbeing – Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn and Give
- Resources on a range of wellbeing areas, and through a selection of book recommendations, the opportunity to engage in the experiences of others
- Mood tracker
Confidential counselling service
A confidential counselling service is also provided through PASS and carried out by Inspire. Due to the pressures on service as a result of COVID-19, counselling is currently being provided by telephone and online video, where possible. If you feel that you or a colleague could do with some help in this way, please contact the PASS service co-coordinator Sharon Bell on 028 9032 9553
