Pharmacy Futures NI is a campaign aimed at promoting pharmacy as a career choice, as well as attracting pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff to come work in Northern Ireland.
It targets students who are thinking of working in the pharmacy sector, right through to pharmacy team members currently based away from home who are thinking of returning to NI.
To support the campaign, we have been working with a network of dynamic and enthusiastic ‘Pharmacy Champions’ to help get the word out on the job opportunities currently available in NI and to promote the sector here.
These Champions have been volunteer ambassadors who represent pharmacy as a career path, and Northern Ireland as a place in which to live and work – and now we’d like to recruit a new cohort.
Are you passionate about pharmacy in NI? Would you be willing to champion the great work happening in pharmacy and why NI is the place to be? If so, we’d love you to join our network of ‘Pharmacy Champions’.
This is a development opportunity, where you will be able to increase your profile as you work directly with us and the network, as well as a chance to meet fellow pharmacy colleagues from across Northern Ireland – in various areas of practice and at different career stages.
We will be providing development at two events later in the spring (dates and locations to be announced), which will provide training in communication skills, as well as illustrating the various ways in which you can participate.
Being a Pharmacy NI Champion is flexible to suit your availability, but we require that all champions are active and participate in at least one activity a year.
