Professional experience

Kathryn completed her pre-registration year with Boots the Chemists and worked for them for five years. In 1994 she began working within the United Hospitals Trust as an audit pharmacist and also had a brief spell as a temporary audit facilitator for the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland. She remained employed within the Trust for fourteen years, including as locum pharmacist and then as patient-services pharmacist.  In 2008 Kathryn became a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at Ulster University, and was heavily involved in establishing the new MPharm programme at Coleraine as Course Director.
