Professional experience

Anne graduated from Queens University in 1997 and is currently the Representation Manager for the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) in Northern Ireland. The role combines working with NPA members and stakeholders to represent the interests of independent community pharmacy to policy makers and to raise the profile of community pharmacy.

Anne have extensive experience working in community pharmacy, having managed a busy pharmacy, completed a diploma in community pharmacy and been involved in pre-registration and Accuracy Checking Technician training. Anne is especially interested in developing the potential of community pharmacists in extending their role in primary care, and have worked with community pharmacists in establishing services such as patient group directive (PGD) ‘flu and travel clinics.

Anne also has a particular interest in public health in Pharmacy due to her involvement with Health Living Pharmacies in England and is a part of the HSCB Health Alliance to develop public health structures in pharmacy in Northern Ireland through the Health + Pharmacy initiative.

Anne is a member of the Pharmacy Forum Board since 2011 and has completed two terms as Chair of the Pharmacy Forum Board.
